Natural History Museum

We went to the Natural History Museum on Labor Day. Ironically, it was the first Monday of the month so admission was FREE! This offer stands every month, so take advantage of it sometime...the kids loved it and it was a great get-out-of-the-house activity.

Rice Crispy Treats

After school today, the kids made rice crispy treats....mmmmmm!

I put all of the measured ingredients on the counter along with a wooden spoon and read them the directions. Nathan tossed the butter in (literally!) and watched it melt. Natalie poured in the marshmellows...I think they only ate about 10 or 20 each in the process :) She stirred them like a PRO! Check out how she holds the pot steady with her non-stirring hand....Nana Nancy will be proud of our little cook's stirring skills :) Once the marshmellows were nice and gooey, Nathan stirred in the rice crispies. DONE! Now the hard part...waiting for them to cool so we could eat our tasty treats :)
