Natalie's 3 Year Check Up

All went well.  Her weight is finally coming back on.  She had lost 4 lbs over the past couple of months, but as of her check up she had re-gained almost 2 lbs which puts her at 31 lbs!!  Perfect :)  That's right in the 50th percentile!!!

Yep...she's definitely a girl!

Walked into Natalie's room this morning to check on her (too quiet!) and this is what I found....

She picks one up, holds it to hear ear and says, "Memaw, you home yet?  Ok, I'll be there in a minute."  Could she possibly be imitating mommy?  Nah.  Ha!  Oh, also worth noting, this pic was taken at 9:30 AM and this is the 3rd shirt she has put on today!!!  So it begins...

Carter is 3 Months Old!

My sweet boy is smiling...finally!  If you tickle him he giggles....pure preciousness!!!

He LOVES to be held snuggled up to your chest.  The swing is s till his favorite place to be.  He takes all of his naps there and sleeps there all night as well.  So far breastfeeding is going GREAT!  He nurses every 3-4 hours during the day.  Goes to bed around 10 PM and sleeps until 7:30AM....can't ask for more than that, right?  This has been his schedule since about 2 months :)  Carter is such a sweet, easy going baby.  Rarely cries.  Mostly he just starts "talking" and we know he needs to be fed or go down for a nap.  We swaddle him up and he settles instantly.  Pop him in the swing and he's out within a few minutes.  No crying whatsoever :)  Has been an easy content baby since day one and continues to be!!!  He is such a joy and a blessing.  Thank you Lord for this precious little boy!!

2 Months!

Where does the time go?  Carter had his 2 month check up at the pediatrician yesterday (Monday, July 26th) and here are his stats...

13.6 lbs
24 inches
15 inch head circ

The milestones they checked were smiling and holding head up.  He's still working on both of those :)  We have seen a few brief smiles and his head control is getting better.  To say the least our little guy is a chunky monkey right now....where did that tiny baby go???  Travis says his little tush looks like a sumo wrestler's hiney...too funny.  He has rolls everywhere!

6 Weeks!

One Month!

Snug as a bug in a rug!  Our sweet boy loves to be swaddled.  He sleeps in the swing in our room for all of his naps and every night :)

Carter was sort of named after the guy who drives this tornado research vehicle.  When we first saw the show, Storm Chasers on Discovery Channel, we commented on how much we liked the name Reed...bum deal, wish we would have thought of that when we had Nathan!  Little did we know at the time that God had another little boy planned for our future!  So, when we found out we were expecting a boy, we both agreed that Reed would be the middle name.  Deciding on a first name was the hard part.
