Daddy and Nathan day

They went to the Hunting and Fishing show in OKC yesterday and had a great time.  Nathan was bow fishing for mechanical fish :)

Mommy's Princess

I just love this little girl to pieces!!  She and I had such a wonderful afternoon together today.  We snuggled on the couch all afternoon watching The Little Mermaid.  I loved this movie as a child, remember almost every line from it!!  Now, my sweet little girl loves her Disney princesses, and Ariel is her favorite as she was mine too.  It is so fun to see her love something that I loved as a child.

8 Months Today!

Our sweet little boy still sleeps in his swing at night and during naps :)  What a sweetie!  He usually takes an hour nap in the morning and a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon, then one more little cat nap around 6pm for about half an hour.  Bedtime is usually around 10pm and he's up around 2 and 6 for feedings at night then up for the day around 9.  He used to sleep through the night (10p-7a) but that all went out the window when he had RSV at 5 months.  He would wake when he coughed and I would nurse him to calm him down and get him back to sleep....well, that habit stuck so he doesn't sleep through the night any more :(  Boooo!

He is still a very laid back kiddo, barely fusses and really enjoys watching his big brother and sister.  Speaking of his siblings, he has an extra special bond with Nathan and has since the first time the two brothers met.  They speak their own language and Nathan can make Carter smile and giggle like no one else can.  It's so sweet to watch!!  Natalie is a little mommy to him, always wanting to find his paci and blanket if he's fussing and she wants so badly to be able to feed him a bottle.  She also enjoys playing on the floor with him.

He is sitting now, has been since about 6.5 months.  No teeth yet.  Has only rolled over a handful of times.  He still HATES to be on his tummy so he will roll over to get off of it.  Still has not rolled back to belly yet, don't see that coming until he is ready to start crawling :)

Celina made this BEAUTIFUL blanket for me for Christmas!  It's so snuggly and warm and makes a great photography prop!!  Thanks Celina!!

7 Months...and finally rolled over!

He's finally rolled over...once :)  First and only time he has done it was on Christmas eve, the day he turned 7 months!  He went from belly to back.  He is sitting on his own perfectly for half an hour or more at at time.  Loves the jumperoo and saucer :)

He is also eating lots of solids.  Frozen waffles, slices of bread, tortillas, and of course all of the purees.  Sweet potatoes are his favorite but he also likes applesauce.

The house became WAY too quiet this morning so I came to check on Nathan and Natalie and this is what I found...

Nathan had drug out my photography stuff and set it up for a "shoot"!  Too funny!  He thought of everything down to the lighting!  Obviously my set up is a little different, but he did great!

Bathtime fun!

Carter is sitting on his own now so we can put him in the sink for baths instead of using the baby tub in the sink.  He loved splashing around in the water!  Natalie was such a great little helper.
